You should see yourself in a crown

Kings and Queens in times gone by had to conquer far away lands, command armies and wield absolute power. Getting over a heartbreak is a kingly pursuit worthy of a crown. Writing Take The Highway has forced me to contemplate the matter at great length. The objective is to get through a painful experience and emerge on the other end changed but not bitter. It can seem impossible. While you are in it, you might think that you will never experience a moment of happiness again.

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding… And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy

Today you will build yourself a crown and as you wear it you might find it hard to feel like the conquering queen or king. But keep wearing it and one day you shall place it on your head and it will feel completely natural up there.

How to build yourself a paper crown

You will need scissors, a scotch tape and the printout. In color is best, but black and white will work as well.

Cutout the three strips of paper along the dotted line.

Use the overlap area to stick two strips together using scotch tape.

Add The third strip and …. tada! you have your crown.

You get extra points for taking a selfie with your crown and posting it online.
